The Productive is an affordable coworking studio located at 40 West 38th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. We’re dedicated to providing an energetic working environment for entrepreneurs and creative professionals; developers, animators, digital artists, designers, writers and editors.
Etimology
The Productive was created to bring New York City artists and writers together in a comfortable space, away from the distractions of life, so that they might benefit from the comradery, competition, and collaborative nature of working among their similarly motivated peers.
History
Susan Godfrey attended the School of Visual Arts and received a degree in animation. Missing the discipline she used to have for her own projects while she was in school, Susan dreamed of belonging to a community of creative professionals that could help keep her motivated while she pursued her animation career. With her dedicated plotting and scheming, The Productive was born.

Transport
The Productive is located in Midtown Manhattan, at 40 West 38th between 5th and 6th Avenue on the 5th floor. Times Square, Grand Central Station, Herald Square, and Penn Station are all a short distance away.
Eating
Mustang Cafe, 22 W 38th St between 5th & 6th Aves. offers 10% on meals for our members (receive your discount card once you've signed up). There are also many restaurants with in a one block radius including Chinese, Australian, Indian, German, Cuban and Korean cuisine.
Drinking
There are several bars and pubs on our block and one block up. There is also the Culture Club, an iconic NY Dance Club one black away.
Other
Bryant Park (which offers free ice skating in the winter) is 2 blocks away. The famous New York City Library is also at that location.
Opening times
ALL membership plans, with the exception of the Nights & Weekends plan, have 24 hour access to the space.

Members include Creative Professionals, Animators, Designers, Illustrators, Developers, Freelancers, Writers and Entrepreneurs.

We have a quiet, semi-informal culture. Many creative types mixed with business minded people keeps the dynamic interesting.

The Productive Features 4 levels of membership with reasonable prices on open desks, dedicated desks, and computer work stations. Choose between 24/7 or part time access.
We offer discounts for 3-month commitments and 6-month commitments.
All members get individual open desks, conference room access, secure wifi internet, wifi laser color printer, and kitchenette with complimentary coffee and tea.
Lockers are available for $10 per month.
