Jelly Coworking Community started in November 2008 and initiated the local Coworking Movement in Greece, based on casual gatherings, coworking sessions. Today we are counting six coworking spaces in Athens with other three in the making, one in Thessaloniki with another three coming up, at least two launching in Heraklion/Crete, two in Patras and one on the island of Samos.
Casual coworking sessions happen all over Greece, with the cities of Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina being the most active within the informal collaborative community. Our aim is to connect like-minded people and establish a collaborative culture, based on encouraging people and sharing ideas, enhancing them to work together.
We are community based platform for creativity, collaboration and dialogue, uniting the various communities and spaces. We organize casual coworking sessions, work events where everyone's invited or discussions on specific topics, Jelly talks, that are coming from the community's suggestions.
As there are more and more spaces coming up and the movement is getting more mature and spread, all parts of the community, from tech to social projects, from creative to startup economy, from hackers to students, are welcome to contribute to our community platform. All spaces are invited to inform the wider community about their educational and information events, community projects, creating an information point about the movement, its opportunities and challenges within the special cultural as socioeconomic context.
