The Metropolitan Exchange (MEx) is an architecture, urban planning, and research cooperative located in downtown Brooklyn. MEx is made up of design professionals, developers, and scholars who come together to collaborate on architecture and planning research, and sponsor lectures, film screenings and exhibitions. MEx also maintains a large, publicly-accessible library of rare architecture and urban planning books. It is the intention of MEx to use these initiatives to broaden and strengthen the local architecture and urban planning discourse.
