If you are interested in the Coworking concept in Saint Paul I suggest linking to CoworkingTwinCities this is an active group that will make Coworking in the Twin Cities a reality. A location may or may not be in Saint Paul but we are looking to expand the community and build a robust membership base before a Coworking location is chosen. If you have any questions or are looking to get more information feel free to join us on Facebook, Twitter or contact me stephenfiling-at-gmail.com

Saint Paul Catalyst

I'm Thomas Knoll (dydimustk.com). I've been following the coworking phenomenon for a while and have decided to give it a go as a catalyst. I love pulling people together and creating synergy, and I know that my technical skills will never catch up to my passion for using technology to connect people with great ideas. So I'm hoping to invest my energy into making a coworking space in St. Paul, MN a sustainable business. I intend to focus on developing the space and the community, so others can focus on their code, design, and professional development.

Partnering, not Competing

During my initial research I discovered a large amount on interest in coworking, and several projects in the TwinCities at various stages of development. I believe there is a large enough creative class in the TwinCities to support a number of coworking locations. I also want to get something solid off the ground as soon as possible, so we can determine the demand for this type of community and space.

Location

I am focusing my search for space to these parameters:

  • Between Selby and Randolph
  • West of 35E
  • Along a major bus route
  • Within walking distance of several lunch spots
  • Available street or lot parking

Interest

I already know that a number of individuals, small companies and startups are interested in this type of space. While I don't believe in a business model is as simple as, "if you build it they will come", I do get the sense that potential demand for this type of space warrants, "giving it a go." If you would consider becoming a significant member of this coworking community, feel free to add your name, contact info, and/or business to the list. But, more importantly, drop me a message so we can be in touch.
