I live in the dynamic City of Riverside and soon I will be opening a coworking space here, I'm still undecided about the location, the downtown area is great, has a lot of good vibe, plenty of restaurants, about 5 or 6 coffee shops in 1.5 sq. mile. (Is this good or bad? I will appreciate any input/comments you may have), however I’m concerned about the lack of free parking space in the downtown area, the city charges around $1.00 per every 2 hours (about $4 a day, $20 a week, and $80 a month). Does any one have the same or similar parking problem? Can you offer any advise?

My other option will be a location in the surrounding area of the Riverside Plaza, I found a new building with very modern architecture and good parking space (10-12 spaces). Basically the place is ready to go, the rent is a little bit higher than downtown but the users will not need to spend extra cash in parking fees.

One of the main objectives of this coworking space will be to provide some kind of structure to the growing creative and solo entrepreneurs population of Riverside and the Inland Empire. A foundation that will allow us to join forces with other independent workers, creating a stronger presence and attracting better and bigger projects to our vibrant collective community, like Orange County and San Francisco do.

I’m contemplating the following amenities and perks for this space

  • Lounge with couches, chairs, and coffee tables
  • Coffee machine(s), cappuccino machine, and a jar of biscotti
  • Private offices, private desks, and day-use desks or communal area
  • Wi-Fi internet connection
  • Meeting room with conference table and projector
  • Copy, print and fax machines
  • Mail receiving and lockers

The Concierge Level, LLC in Chattanooga, TN is also looking at our potential for co-working services. We are a full-service office business center offering private office, virtual office and virtual staff currently. We are exploring client’s needs to interact and “commune” while working. Currently the clients we serve usually use “private” accommodations for client meetings, but don’t yet work in a “public” environment within our office business centre. We see the need for interactive work environments growing based on the demand for workers to use their computers and not take up space in a “traditional” office.

We are currently located in a high rise in the central business district of downtown. We provide free coffee service, and Wi-Fi when renting our space. On a pay-per-use basis we offer our color copier/scanner/fax, parking, postage meter, over night shipping services, virtual staff support, catering, and more. Our current business is booming! We are diligently looking at expanding and what location will be our perfect fit. We are truly at our client’s service while they are here. We want to spoil them to the point we are becoming the local industry standard of which others are compared. It is an awesome experience to share with my professional staff.

At your service,
Denise Reed
