I did not update this page for a long time. Sorry bout that.  PragueHUB itself has not started yet, but we're supporting initiatives from Coffice in Prague and the Coworking Center in Brno. Checkout praguehub.com for details.

Things are moving fast... maybe too fast to be honest. We think we've found the ideal space. Fullfills most requirements and is 'cheap' enough to give this thing a try.  Now its all about number crunching and making agreements with the startup participants, space owners, etc..

Its great to see that alot of people want to back this project! 

If all goes well me might even be looking at May to 'soft-launch' the place. We are thinking about organising a painting event.. ;) Come and paint, get your name on the wall somewhere and get a discount for the first month or so .. More ideas than time...

Visiting a number of potential locations this week. Tags: atmosphere, location, accessibility, light, open space PLUS separate spaces, price..

Had a great call with Will in the US who has done a lot of great groundwork around establishing a coworking facility in Prague. Will be great to collaborate.

Update: the plan is to present the plans for coworking at the coming TechCrunch meet here in Prague next week.

Part of the targeted community and maybe even potential investors will be there.  Will also use the opportunity to do a poll and get some feedback from the people there. Will post the questionaire.

Hi All,

 

We are now seriously considering starting a coworking space in Prague. As a start we're doing some research to see how large the community of independent workers in Prague is and what their needs are.

To kickstart the process the Independent workers in Prague Facebook group has been created to get the people together and get some ideas.

Any ideas from anyone out there are much appreciated.

Finally some good news !

PragueHUB has hooked up with Coffice and we are close to the launch of the first Coworking space in Prague ! Coffice will focus on operating the space where PragueHUB will continue to develop the member base and community, organise events and develop the concept further.
